Robert Phillips was an American film and television actor. Born in Chicago, Illinois, on 10 April 1925, he died on 5 November 2018.

Before acting, Phillips served in the US Marine Corps, played professional football for the Chicago Bears and Washington Redskins, and worked as a police officer and personal bodyguard. He began his screen career in the 1950s and appeared in films including *The Dirty Dozen* (1967), *The Killers* (1964), *Cat Ballou* (1965), *Mackenna's Gold* (1969), *The Killing of a Chinese Bookie* (1976) as Phil, and *The Car* (1977). He also had guest roles in numerous television series such as *Mission: Impossible*, *Kung Fu* and *Batman*.
