## Biography

Robert Q. Lewis was an American radio and television entertainer, comedian, game show host and actor. He began his career in radio as a child performer and later hosted and appeared as a panelist on numerous early television programmes, frequently guest-hosting for Arthur Godfrey and others. He served in the US Army during the Second World War and attended the University of Michigan.

Lewis appeared in several films, including *An Affair to Remember* (1957) as an announcer, *Good Neighbor Sam* (1964), *How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying* (1967) as Tackaberry, and *Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Sex *But Were Afraid to Ask* (1972). He also acted in television series such as *Bewitched* and *Emergency!*, and performed in stage productions. He received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1960.
