Robert Q. Lovett was an American film editor. He worked on films and television series from 1963 to 2006, including three episodes of the series *Kojak* (1976–1977) and later television films in the franchise.

His film credits include *The Taking of Pelham One Two Three* (1974), *The Cotton Club* (1984), for which he received an Academy Award nomination for Best Film Editing, *Hammett* (1982), *Just Before Dawn* (1981) and *A Bronx Tale* (1993). He also contributed to earlier productions such as *Cotton Comes to Harlem* (1970) and *Rachel, Rachel* (1968).

Lovett died on 18 August 2022.
