## Biography

Robert Smith is an American screenwriter and producer. His film credits include the screenplay for *Sudden Fear* (1952), co-written with Lenore J. Coffee; *99 River Street* (1953); *Quicksand* (1950); and *I Walk Alone* (1947). He also received story or screenplay credits on *Invasion, U.S.A.* (1952) and *St. Louis Blues* (1958).

Smith contributed to several television series in the 1950s and 1960s, including episodes of *Science Fiction Theatre*, *Sea Hunt*, *Maverick*, *Ripcord* and *Daktari*. In 1996 he wrote a screenplay for an episode of the British series *A Touch of Frost*.
