Robert W. Lenski was an American screenwriter. Born on a farm in Michigan in 1926, he served in the United States Marines during the Second World War, landing on Iwo Jima. He graduated from the University of Michigan with a degree in English and journalism, then worked as a journalist in Jackson, Michigan, before moving into advertising and screenwriting in the early 1970s.

His credits included episodes of the series *Kojak* (1973), *Mannix* (1967) and *Cannon* (1971). He also wrote for miniseries and television films such as *The Dain Curse* (1978), *Decoration Day* (1990) and *Breathing Lessons* (1994). Lenski received three Primetime Emmy Award nominations for his writing between 1978 and 1994, and won an Edgar Allan Poe Award for *The Dain Curse*.

He died in Los Angeles in 2002.
