## Biography

Robert Wiemer (30 January 1938 – 21 August 2014) was an American film and television director, writer, producer and editor.

He directed eight episodes of *Star Trek: The Next Generation* between 1989 and 1994, including 'Data's Day' and 'Parallels', and the *Star Trek: Deep Space Nine* episode 'Profit and Loss' (1994). Earlier credits include directing, writing and producing the television films *Somewhere, Tomorrow* (1983) and *Anna to the Infinite Power* (1983), as well as *The Night Train to Kathmandu* (1988). He also worked on the children's series *The Big Blue Marble* and episodes of *Superboy* and *SeaQuest DSV*.

Wiemer collaborated with Rick Berman on documentaries and *The Big Blue Marble* before his *Star Trek* work.
