## Biography

Robin Majumdar is an Indian actor and musician who worked primarily in Bengali cinema. He appeared in supporting roles in films including *Kavi* (1949), *Bhangagara* (1954), *Daner Maryada* (1956) and *Chupi Chupi Ashey* (1960).

Majumdar contributed to the music department on several productions. He provided background music for Satyajit Ray’s *Aparajito* (1956) and performed as a musician on Ray’s *The Music Room* (1958). He also directed the 1959 film *Hum Bhi Insaan Hain*.

Later acting credits include *The Kingdom of Diamonds* (1980), in which he played Charandas.
