Rod Parker was an American television writer and producer. Born on 25 July 1927 in Michigan, he began his career writing for *The Jackie Gleason Show* in the late 1960s before contributing scripts to *All in the Family* in 1972.

He served as a producer on *Maude* (1972–1978) and later held producing and script-supervision roles on series including *Gimme a Break!* (1981–1987) and *Dear John* (1988–1992). Parker also wrote episodes for several other sitcoms and created television movies. He died on 29 July 2011 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
