Rodrigo Rodrigues Pimentel, also known as Capitão Pimentel, is a Brazilian writer and former captain in the Rio de Janeiro Military Police. He served in the elite BOPE unit from 1994 to 2000 and later worked as a security consultant.

Pimentel appeared as himself in the documentary *Bus 174* (2002), which he co-produced with José Padilha. He co-wrote the screenplay for *Elite Squad* (2007) with Padilha and Bráulio Mantovani, and contributed the story for *Elite Squad: The Enemy Within* (2010). Both films draw on his experiences and the book *Elite da Tropa*, which he co-authored with Luiz Eduardo Soares and André Batista. He also featured in the 1999 documentary *Notícias de uma Guerra Particular*.
