## Biography

Roger Briaucourt was a French production designer and set decorator. Born in Paris in 1920, he began working in the art department in the mid-1940s, initially in assistant roles on feature films.

He is credited as production designer on Jacques Tati's *Monsieur Hulot's Holiday* (1953). Other notable credits include *Ah! The Beautiful Priestesses of Bacchus* (1954) and Georges Franju's *Spotlight on a Murderer* (1961). He worked on numerous French films and television productions through the 1970s.

Briaucourt died in Paris in 1988.
