Sir Roger Moore (14 October 1927 – 23 May 2017) was an English actor. He played James Bond in seven Eon Productions films: *Live and Let Die* (1973), *The Man with the Golden Gun* (1974), *The Spy Who Loved Me* (1977), *Moonraker* (1979), *For Your Eyes Only* (1981), *Octopussy* (1983) and *A View to a Kill* (1985).

On television, Moore starred as Simon Templar in the series *The Saint* (1962–1969) and appeared in *Maverick* (1960–1961) and *The Persuaders!* (1971–1972). He played The Chief in the film *Spice World* (1997).

Moore was appointed a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador in 1991 and was knighted in 2003 for services to charity.
