## Biography

Roland MacLeod (1935–2010) was an English actor who worked in film and television. He was born in London and appeared in the BBC sitcom *Some Mothers Do 'Ave 'Em* (1973).

His other television credits include *Coronation Street*, *The Fall and Rise of Reginald Perrin*, *Ripping Yarns*, *Sykes*, *Please Sir!*, *The Goodies* and *Misfits* (2009). He also appeared in *Grange Hill* and played the head teacher in *The Boot Street Band*.

MacLeod's film roles include the vicar in *A Fish Called Wanda* (1988), Dr Crippen in *The Last Remake of Beau Geste* (1977) and a part in *Charleston* (1977). Before becoming an actor he taught English and drama.
