## Biography

Romain Gavras is a French film director, screenwriter and producer. Born in Paris on 4 July 1981, he is the son of director Costa-Gavras and a co-founder of the Kourtrajmé film collective.

His feature films include *Our Day Will Come* (2010), *The World Is Yours* (2018) and *Athena* (2022). He directed, wrote and produced the 2025 film *Sacrifice*, his English-language debut, which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival.

Gavras has also directed music videos for artists including M.I.A., Kanye West and Jay-Z, and Justice.
