## Biography

Ron Clark (born 1933) is a Canadian-American playwright and screenwriter. He began writing sketches while studying at McGill University in Montreal before moving to New York City, where he wrote monologues for numerous stand-up comedians.

His television work includes episodes of *The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour*, *Silver Spoons* (1985–1987) and *Moonlighting* (1988–1989), for which he also served as creative consultant. He co-wrote screenplays for the films *Silent Movie* (1976), *High Anxiety* (1977), *Revenge of the Pink Panther* (1978) and *Life Stinks* (1991). With Sam Bobrick he co-wrote several plays, including *Norman, Is That You?*, which opened on Broadway in 1970.
