Ron Jones is an American composer and musician. Born in Kansas City, Kansas, he studied music composition and theory before moving to Los Angeles, where he attended the Dick Grove School of Music and trained under composers including Lalo Schifrin, Mike Post and Pete Carpenter.

He composed scores for 42 episodes of *Star Trek: The Next Generation* across its first four seasons (1987–1991). Jones later scored music for the first 12 seasons of *Family Guy* (1999–2014) and contributed to series including *DuckTales* (1987) and *The Fairly OddParents* (theme song and episodes from 2001). He has received four Primetime Emmy nominations for his work on *Family Guy*.
