## Biography

Ron Patane is an American film editor. Born in 1977 in suburban Connecticut, he studied philosophy at Vassar College and moved to New York City. He was a member of the music video directing collective Wormseye and has worked as a freelance editor since 2003 on documentaries, commercials, television and short films.

Patane has collaborated repeatedly with director Derek Cianfrance. He co-edited *Blue Valentine* (2010) with Jim Helton, followed by *The Place Beyond the Pines* (2013) and *The Light Between Oceans* (2016). Other feature credits include *A Most Violent Year* (2014), *Triple Frontier* (2019) and *Till* (2022). He has received Independent Spirit Award and Eddie Award nominations.
