## Biography

Ron Silverman was an American film and television producer and writer. Born on 13 October 1932, he began his career as a reporter and film critic for Daily Variety before working as a writer on episodes of the television series The Wild Wild West.

He produced several feature films, including Brubaker (1980), Krull (1983) and Shoot to Kill (1988). Silverman collaborated for many years with producer Ted Mann and later served on the faculty of the American Film Institute, where he became Dean of Studies.

Silverman died on 23 July 2025 in Medford, Oregon, aged 92.
