## Biography

Ronald Wilson (1930–2014) was a television director and actor. Born in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada, he directed episodes of numerous British series, including *Z-Cars* (1962), *Play for Today* (1977–1983), *To Serve Them All My Days* (1980) and *EastEnders* (1992).

Earlier in his career Wilson appeared as an actor, including the role of Flight Lieutenant Shannon in the 1955 film *The Dam Busters*. He also directed episodes of series such as *The Pallisers* (1974), *The Black Tower* (1985) and *Lives of Girls & Women* (1996). In later years he lectured at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA). He was married to Gay Cameron.
