## Biography

Rory Taylor is a British cinematographer. He began his professional career in 1997 on the series *Insiders* and has worked extensively in television drama.

Taylor is best known for his contributions to *Doctor Who* (2005), where he served as director of photography on numerous episodes from 2006 to 2014, including specials such as *The Runaway Bride* (2006) and *Planet of the Dead* (2009). He also worked on *Torchwood* (2006), shooting five episodes in 2009, as well as episodes of *The Sarah Jane Adventures*. His other credits include *Keeping Faith* (2017–2019), *Hinterland* (2015–2016) and *Death in Paradise*.

In 2002 he won a BAFTA Cymru Award for Best Director of Photography – Drama for his work on the film *Eldra* and received a nomination for *Doctor Who: Silence in the Library*.
