## Biography

Rossano Brazzi (18 September 1916 – 24 December 1994) was an Italian actor, director and screenwriter. Born in Bologna, he trained as a stage actor and became a matinee idol in Italian cinema before moving to Hollywood in the early 1950s. He made his film debut in 1939 and later wrote and directed several films in Italy, sometimes under the pseudonym Edward Ross.

Brazzi gained international recognition with his role as Giorgio Bianchi in *Three Coins in the Fountain* (1954). He went on to appear in *The Barefoot Contessa* (1954), *Summertime* (1955), *South Pacific* (1958), *The Italian Job* (1969) and *The Final Conflict* (1981), as well as television series including *Charlie's Angels* (1976) and *Hart to Hart* (1979).
