Roy Allen Smith (born 12 December 1954) is an American animator, film director and producer. He was born in Cedar City, Utah.

Smith directed the direct-to-video films *The Land Before Time II: The Great Valley Adventure* (1994), *The Land Before Time III: The Time of the Great Giving* (1995) and *The Land Before Time IV: Journey Through the Mists* (1996). He served as supervising director on the first season of the animated series *Family Guy* (1999–2000).

His other credits include work as a producer on *The Ren & Stimpy Show* (1992–1996) and *Silver Surfer* (1998), and various roles in animation and storyboarding across numerous television series and films.
