Ruby Barnhill is an English actress. She was born on 16 July 2004 in Knutsford, Cheshire.

Barnhill played the lead role of Sophie in Steven Spielberg's 2016 film *The BFG*. She has also appeared as Isobel in the television series *4 O'Clock Club* (2015–2017) and provided voice roles in the English dubs of *Mary and the Witch's Flower* (2017) and *The Imaginary* (2023), as well as in *Princess Emmy* (2019). Her father, Paul Barnhill, is an actor who appeared in *The BFG*.
