## Biography

Ruby Rae Spiegel is a writer for television and theatre. She contributed the teleplay for the third episode of the first season of the Netflix series *Mindhunter* (2017). Her other television writing credits include episodes of *The OA* (2016), *A Teacher* (2020) and *Extrapolations* (2023). She has also worked as a consulting producer on *A Teacher* and *When They See Us* (2019).

Spiegel is a playwright whose full-length play *Dry Land* premiered Off-Broadway at Colt Coeur. It has since been produced in multiple cities in the United States and internationally. Her earlier short play *Carrie & Francine* was staged at the Summer Shorts Festival at 59E59 when she was 18 and is published in an anthology. She is a Yale graduate, a MacDowell Colony Fellow and has participated in writers’ programmes including the Center Theater Group’s 2018/19 group.
