## Biography

Ruth Bennett is a television writer and producer. She wrote the episode "Louie Sees the Light" for the series *Taxi* in 1979 and contributed 26 episodes to *Family Ties* (1982–1989).

Bennett created the sitcoms *Sara* (1985) and *Duet* (1987–1989). She also wrote episodes of *Laverne & Shirley*, *The Facts of Life*, *Home Improvement*, *Something Wilder*, *Someone Like Me* and *Sabrina the Teenage Witch* (four episodes, 2000–2002). As a producer she served as consulting producer on *Sabrina the Teenage Witch* and executive producer on *The Lionhearts*.

She has received three Primetime Emmy nominations.
