## Biography

Ruth Dwyer was an American actress. She appeared in a number of silent films in the 1920s, most notably as Buster Keaton's leading lady in *Seven Chances* (1925).

Her other silent credits include *The Stealers* (1920), *Second Hand Love* (1923), *The Reckless Age* (1924) and *A Perfect Gentleman* (1928). She largely retired from leading roles after 1928 but took uncredited parts in several sound films, including *For Me and My Gal* (1942).

Dwyer was married to actor and talent agent William Jackie. The couple ran the Ruth Dwyer Agency in San Francisco.
