Ruth Madeley is a British actress. She was born on 4 August 1987 in Westhoughton, Lancashire, England, and was diagnosed with spina bifida before birth. She studied scriptwriting at Edge Hill University and began acting after auditioning for a role while volunteering at the charity Whizz-Kidz.

Madeley is known for playing Rosie Lyons in the 2019 BBC/HBO series *Years and Years*. She received a BAFTA Television Award nomination for Best Actress for her performance in the 2015 television film *Don't Take My Baby*. Other credits include roles in *The Rook*, *Doctor Who* as Shirley Bingham, *Brassic* and *Nightsleeper*.
