## Biography

Ruth Myers is a British costume designer born in 1940 in Manchester, England. She trained at St Martin's School of Art in London and began her career in theatre, working at the Royal Court Theatre and in repertory before moving into film in the late 1960s.

She has designed costumes for numerous films, including *The Addams Family* (1991), *L.A. Confidential* (1997) and *Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire* (2024). Other credits include *Emma* (1996), *The Golden Compass* (2007) and *The Legend of Tarzan* (2016). Myers received Academy Award nominations for *The Addams Family* and *Emma*, an Emmy Award for the series *Carnivàle*, and the Costume Designers Guild Career Achievement Award in 2008. She was previously married to production designer Richard Macdonald.
