## Biography

Ryan Bingham is an American actor and singer-songwriter. Born George Ryan Bingham on 31 March 1981 in Hobbs, New Mexico, he grew up in Texas and began his career as a musician after competing in rodeos as a bull rider.

Bingham released his debut album *Mescalito* in 2007. He contributed songs to the soundtrack of the 2009 film *Crazy Heart*, in which he also appeared as Tony; the theme song "The Weary Kind", co-written with T Bone Burnett, won the Academy Award for Best Original Song. He has since released further albums and performed on television and film soundtracks.

As an actor, Bingham is known for his recurring role as Walker in the series *Yellowstone* (2018–2024). Other credits include *Hostiles* (2017) as Sergeant Paul Malloy, *Jackie & Ryan* (2014) and *A Country Called Home* (2015).
