Ryan Kwanten is an Australian actor and producer. Born on 28 November 1976 in Sydney, New South Wales, he began his career in Australian television with roles in series including *A Country Practice* and *Home and Away*, in which he played Vinnie Patterson from 1997 to 2002.

After moving to the United States, he appeared in the teen drama series *Summerland* as Jay Robertson. From 2008 to 2014 he portrayed Jason Stackhouse in the HBO series *True Blood*. He produced and starred as Steve Hammond in the crime drama series *The Oath* (2018–2019). Other credits include *Law & Order: Special Victims Unit* (2008), *New Girl* (2012), *Them* (2021) and *Kindred* (2022), as well as the films *Dead Silence* (2007) and *Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole* (2010).
