Ryan Swanson is a writer and producer. Born in St. Paul, Minnesota, he attended Macalester College.

He has written for the television series *The Chosen* (2019–) alongside Dallas Jenkins and Tyler Thompson. His other credits include the screenplay for the film *The Best Christmas Pageant Ever* (2024) and the film *The Killing Floor* (2007). He has also served as executive producer on related projects including *The Chosen Adventures* (2025).
