Kaneda appeared in numerous films and television productions over several decades. He is known for roles including the President of the Court in *Merry Christmas, Mr. Lawrence* (1983), Azuka's Father in *Godzilla vs. Biollante* (1989), and Boss Kuroko in *Zatoichi Goes to the Fire Festival* (1970). Other credits include *The Inugami Family* (1976) and appearances in NHK taiga dramas.
