## Biography

Saar Klein is an Israeli-American film editor. Born in 1967 in Israel, he moved to the United States with his family as a child and graduated with a BA in psychology from Vassar College in 1989. He began his career with an internship on *JFK* (1991) and an apprenticeship on *Heaven & Earth* (1993).

Klein received Academy Award nominations for Best Film Editing for *The Thin Red Line* (1998) and *Almost Famous* (2000), winning an ACE Eddie Award for the latter. His other editing credits include *The Bourne Identity* (2002), *The New World* (2005), *Jumper* (2008) and *Masters of the Air* (2024). He edited Gus Van Sant's *Dead Man's Wire* (2025). Klein has also directed the feature *After the Fall* (2014).
