## Biography

Sally Eilers was an American actress. Born Dorothea Sally Eilers in New York City on 11 December 1908, she made her film debut in an uncredited role in *The Red Mill* (1927). She appeared in several minor roles before working with Mack Sennett in comedy short subjects in 1927–1928 alongside Carole Lombard. In 1928 she was selected as one of the WAMPAS Baby Stars.

Eilers gained prominence in the early 1930s with roles in films including *Quick Millions* (1931) and *Bad Girl* (1931), in which she played Dorothy Haley. Her other credits from this period include *The Black Camel* (1931) and *State Fair* (1933). By the end of the decade her film work had diminished, and her final screen appearance was in *Stage to Tucson* (1950). She died in Woodland Hills, California, on 5 January 1978.
