## Biography

Sam Retford is an Australian actor. Born in Gosford, New South Wales, he moved with his family to Crewe, England, and trained at The Lowry Actors Company.

He made his screen debut in the 2014 Hollyoaks spin-off *Tom's Life* and gained prominence as Cory Wilson in the Channel 4 series *Ackley Bridge* (2017–2019). Subsequent television roles include Curtis Delamere in *Coronation Street* (2021), appearances in *Death in Paradise* (2021), *Grace* (2021) and *All Creatures Great and Small* (2023), and the part of Dougal MacKenzie in the *Outlander* prequel series *Outlander: Blood of My Blood* (2025).

Retford has also performed in stage productions including *Closets* (2018) and *Kings of Idle Land* (2019).
