## Biography

Samantha Bond is an English actress. She played Miss Moneypenny opposite Pierce Brosnan in four James Bond films: *GoldenEye* (1995), *Tomorrow Never Dies* (1997), *The World Is Not Enough* (1999) and *Die Another Day* (2002). She has also appeared as Lady Rosamund Painswick in the television series *Downton Abbey* (2010–2015) and its film sequel *Downton Abbey: A New Era* (2022).

Bond trained at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School and is a member of the Royal Shakespeare Company. She is the daughter of actor Philip Bond and television producer Pat Sandys. Her other television credits include recurring roles in *Outnumbered* and guest appearances in series such as *Agatha Christie's Poirot* and *Midsomer Murders*.
