Sammy Dane is a film editor. He is credited as editor on the documentary *American Symphony* (2023), directed by Matthew Heineman, and as co-editor on *The First Wave* (2021). He has also worked as an editor on *This is Reading* (2017, credited as Sam Dane) and as assistant or additional editor on several documentaries and series, including *16 Bars* (2018) and *Aftershock* (2022).

Dane graduated from Babson College in 2015. He grew up in Manhattan and began making documentaries while at the New York City Lab School for Collaborative Studies. He has received a New York Emmy Award for a documentary on policing in New York City and has a portfolio site noting Emmy- and Grammy-winning editorial work.
