## Biography

Samy Halfon was a French film producer of Turkish origin. He co-produced Alain Resnais's documentary short *Night and Fog* (1956) with Anatole Dauman and Philippe Lifchitz, and later served as delegate producer on Resnais's *Hiroshima Mon Amour* (1959).

Halfon joined Argos Films in the early 1950s before founding his own company, Como Films. Through Como Films he produced or co-produced several films by Alain Robbe-Grillet, including *Trans-Europ-Express* (1966), *The Man Who Lies* (1968) and *Eden and After* (1970). He was also involved in international co-productions across Europe and beyond.
