Sanaa Hamri is a Moroccan-American film, television and music video director. She studied theatre at Sarah Lawrence College, graduating in 1996 after a year in Paris, and began her career as an editor before directing music videos.

Her feature directorial debut was the 2006 romantic comedy *Something New*. She subsequently directed *The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2* (2008) and *Just Wright* (2010). On television she has directed episodes of *Glee* (2009), *Shameless* (2011), *Rectify* (2013), *Elementary*, *Desperate Housewives* and others, and served as executive producer and director on *Empire* (2015–2020).

She has also directed episodes of *The Wheel of Time* (2021) and *The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power* (2022).
