Sandro Petraglia is an Italian screenwriter. Born in Rome on 19 April 1947, he began his career in the early 1970s as a film critic, writing for the magazine *Ombre rosse*, where he met his long-term collaborator Stefano Rulli.

Petraglia has written numerous screenplays for film and television, frequently in partnership with Rulli. His credits include *The Stolen Children* (1992), *The Best of Youth* (2003), *Crime Novel* (2005), *My Brother Is an Only Child* (2007) and *Suburra* (2015). He has received awards including David di Donatello and Nastro d'argento prizes for his screenwriting.
