Sanford Bookstaver is an American film and television director and producer. Born on 1 September 1973 in New York City, he graduated from the University of Southern California's School of Cinema-Television in 1995. His feature directorial debut was the 1999 film *Scriptfellas*.

Bookstaver has directed numerous episodes of prime-time series, including five episodes of *House* (2004) between 2010 and 2012. Other credits include *Prison Break* (2005), *Bones* (2005), *White Collar* (2009), *Chicago Fire* (2012), *Scorpion* (2014), *Marvel's Jessica Jones* (2015), *Marvel's Iron Fist* (2017) and *Dexter: New Blood* (2021).
