Sarah Williams is a British screenwriter and producer. She began her career in television in 1991 as a researcher and documentary producer before moving into drama production and then screenwriting.

Williams is known for her adaptations of novels for television, including co-writing the screenplay for the 2009 BBC series *Small Island* with Paula Milne. She co-wrote the 2007 feature film *Becoming Jane* and adapted *Poppy Shakespeare* (2008) and *The Long Song* (2018). She has also created original series such as *Flesh and Blood* (2020) and *Outrageous* (2025). Her work on *Poppy Shakespeare* and *Small Island* earned Writers' Guild of Great Britain Award nominations.
