## Biography

Sasha Hails is a British writer for television, film, theatre and radio. She has written multiple episodes of long-running BBC series including *Casualty* (2007–2014) and *Call the Midwife* (2025–2026).

She is co-creator and lead writer on the CBBC series *Malory Towers* (2020–2025), adapted from Enid Blyton’s books, and has contributed episodes to *The Midwich Cuckoos* (2022), *The Last Czars* (2019), *The Moonstone* (2016) and *Versailles* (2015). Earlier credits include episodes of *EastEnders*, *Holby City*, *Waterloo Road* and *Doctors*.

Hails received BAFTA nominations for two *Casualty* episodes. Her stage play *Possession* was nominated for Best Writer at the Stage Debut Awards. She previously worked as an actress.
