## Biography

Scott Alario is an American composer and artist based in Providence, Rhode Island. He holds an MFA from the Rhode Island School of Design (2013) and a BFA from the Massachusetts College of Art (2006). Since 2017 he has worked as a studio art technician at Providence College.

Alario has collaborated with composer Alex Somers since 2003. With Somers and Forest Kelley he composed the score for the documentary *Hale County This Morning, This Evening* (2018), directed by RaMell Ross, which received an Oscar nomination and won the IDA Documentary Award for Best Music Score. Alario and Somers reunited with Ross for the feature *Nickel Boys* (2024). He is also credited as composer on the short *Easter Snap* (2019).
