## Biography

Scott Conrad is an American film editor. He began his career in 1964 at 20th Century Fox, starting in the mail room and advancing through the editorial department. He worked as an assistant editor on films including *The Long Goodbye* (1973) before receiving his first solo editing credits on low-budget features such as *Messiah of Evil* (1975) and *A Boy and His Dog* (1975).

In 1976, Conrad co-edited *Rocky* with Richard Halsey; their work earned the Academy Award for Best Film Editing. He has since edited numerous films, including *Up in Smoke* (1978), *Cheech & Chong's Next Movie* (1980), *Cat's Eye* (1985), *The Wraith* (1986) and *Class of 1999* (1990). Conrad lives in Nashville with his wife, Aissa Wayne Conrad.
