## Biography

Scott M. Gimple is an American television writer and producer. He grew up in Berkeley Heights, New Jersey, and graduated from the University of Southern California's School of Cinema-Television.

He began his career writing for animated series including *Pepper Ann* (1997), *Timon and Pumbaa* (1995) and *Fillmore!* (2002), which he created. Later credits include *Life* (2007), *FlashForward* (2009) and the screenplay for *Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance* (2011).

Gimple joined *The Walking Dead* (2010) in 2011 as a writer and producer. He served as showrunner from season 4 to season 8 and is chief content officer for the franchise, with writing credits on spin-offs including *Fear the Walking Dead* (2015), *The Walking Dead: World Beyond* (2020) and *The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live* (2024).
