## Biography

Scott Napier is a Scottish gaffer and lighting technician. He began his career with Lee Lighting and worked as an electrician on series including *Rebus* and *Sea of Souls*, and on features such as *The Last King of Scotland* (2006) and *Your Highness* (2011). He became a gaffer in 2006 and went freelance in 2010.

Napier has been gaffer on the television series *Outlander* (2014–) since its first season, collaborating with cinematographer Alasdair Walker. His other credits include *Churchill* (2017), *Penny Dreadful* (2015), *Doctor Who* (2013), *Shetland* and *Filth* (2013). He has also served as director of photography on episodes of *Outlander: Blood of My Blood* (2025).
