Scott Powell is a film and television editor. He began his career as an apprentice editor in 1984 and received his first editing credit in 1988.

Powell edited 62 episodes of the series *24* (2001–2010) across nine seasons, for which he received five Primetime Emmy nominations and two American Cinema Editors awards. His other credits include *The Orville* (2017–2019), *Prison Break* (2017), *When the Bough Breaks* (2016) and *The Chi* (2020–2026).

He is a member of the Motion Picture Editors Guild, the American Cinema Editors and the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. Powell was born in 1958 in Los Angeles.
