## Biography

Scott A. Williams is an American television writer and producer. A native of Yonkers, New York, he earned a BA in English from SUNY Cortland in 1983. He began his writing career with unproduced screenplays before moving into television.

Williams wrote for *Brooklyn South* (1997) and contributed a teleplay to *NYPD Blue* (1998). His credits include episodes of *Third Watch* (1999), *Crossing Jordan* (2001), *Without a Trace* (2002), *Bones* (2005; co-executive producer and writer 2006–2009), *Castle* (2009) and *NCIS* (2003; writer and executive producer from 2011). He also wrote the screenplay for the film *The Unsaid* (2001).

He co-founded the non-profit Shane's Inspiration, which builds inclusive playgrounds, and received an Edgar Award nomination for his work on *Brooklyn South*.
