## Biography

Seamon Glass (26 September 1925 – 12 July 2016) was an American actor. He is best known for playing First Griner in the 1972 film *Deliverance*. He appeared in numerous film and television roles from the early 1960s to the early 1990s, often in small or uncredited parts.

His credits include an uncredited role as a pirate in *Spartacus* (1960), Deputy Sheriff Dan Colter in *This Is Not a Test* (1962), a guard in *Sleeper* (1973), a cowboy in *Blazing Saddles* (1974), and a trucker in *The Rose* (1979). On television he appeared in episodes of *Star Trek*, *Perry Mason*, *Kojak*, *Buck Rogers in the 25th Century* and *Vega$*.

Glass also worked as a professional boxer, Merchant Marine seaman, and for many years as a teacher and guidance counsellor at Fairfax High School in Los Angeles. He was married to Yan Zhang.
