## Biography

Seamus Dever is an American actor. Born on 27 July 1976 in Flint, Michigan, he is best known for his role as Detective Kevin Ryan in the television series *Castle* (2009–2016).

Dever completed undergraduate studies at Northern Arizona University and holds MFAs in acting from the Moscow Art Theatre and Carnegie Mellon University. He has made guest appearances in series including *NCIS* (2003), *CSI: Crime Scene Investigation* (2000), *The Rookie* (2018) and *Titans* (2018). He is married to actress Juliana Dever, who appeared on *Castle* as his character's wife.
